List myself….

I am, therefore I am. Hard to gather myself up and tell people what I’m about, so I thought I would try a list….

musician (classical piano, voice)

artist (this could read like a resume… let’s focus on sculpture, jewelry, and mixed-media. I studied to be an art teacher, so I have worked in almost every art medium there is- except welding, that I haven’t done…yet)

geek (CSS, SEO, apps, html, wordpress theming, a bit of flash, a lot of Photoshop, video production, and a serious and life-threatening addiction to technology)

intellectual (I read. A LOT.)

Things I know enough about to shake a stick at: horses, sailing, swimming, weight-lifting, karate, dogs, cats, sea-shells, anatomy, biology, chemistry, physics, fishing, mixing concrete, Italy, Ireland, Pirates, leather, rubber, map-making, crafting, crochet, hand-sewing, cocktails, Star Wars, Star Trek, current movie events, Playstation 3, Wii, Noir, firearms, electronics, Zumba, Portland, Upstate NY, Boston, cake decoration, digital scrapbooking, world religions, art history, real-old-fashioned-dark-room-photography,

Things I don’t care much about so I can’t shake a stick at them: politics, organized religion, names of actors, authors, and band members (favorites make an impression- but not one which includes their names- unless it’s Johnny Depp),

Things I want or need to know more about: navigation by stars, deep-sea fishing, large boat sailing (including heeling over which scares the beejezuz out of me), Latin dance, Swing dance, playing violin/fiddle,

and I’m sure I’ll be back to these lists in the future.

on being a polymath…

Who is way too fond of ellipses, and knows an awful lot about an awful lot…

It creates focus problems. It is not ADD. It makes you wish Leonardo were still alive, so you could have a cup o’ tea.
